Bahrain’s Shia Leader Slams Arab Countries Supporting Syria Strike
Bahrain’s Shia leader Ayatollah Sheikh Issa Qassem criticized certain Arab countries for their support for a US attack on Syria.
Addressing worshippers during his Friday prayers sermon in Manama, he said the support was a sign of imprudence and lack of concern for the interests of the Muslim Ummah.
He regretted that some Muslims become happy to hear the drums of the enemies’ war against an Islamic country.
Ayatollah Qassem said those who get happy about military strike on an Islamic country are not Muslims and know nothing about the interests of the Muslim Ummah.
He said the foreigner’s goal for attacking Islamic countries is quite clear as they seek their own materialistic interests. “Those who think with the foreigners’ attack, Muslim countries will be saved from crises are naïve.”
Elsewhere in his sermon, the Shia leader criticized the Bahraini’s regime’s human rights violations and said the nation of Bahrain continues to protest against the regime peacefully.
In other news, Al-e Khalifa regime’s forces on Thursday stormed a Shia cemetery in the West of Manama, destroying some of the graves.
The Al-Wefaq National Society of Bahrain in a statement has condemned the move, describing it as unethical, illegal and inhumane.
