1st Intl. Quran Competition to Be Held in Saratov
First Interregional competition "Living Tradition" of Qur'an reciters will be held from November 30 to December 1 in Saratov, Russia.
According to the press service of the Myftiyat, the competition will be attended by Quran reciters from Moscow, Tatarstan, Mordovia, Penza, Samara, Saratov and Ulyanovsk regions.
The contest will have three categories: "Reciting the 30th juz ', Reciting the last three juz " and "Reciting the 1/6 part of the Quran."
Jury of well-known Russian Hafizs and directors of educational centers of Quran reciting will evaluate the knowledge of the text, the correct reading (Tajwid) and the beauty of the reciting.
Qualifying round of the competition will be held at the Islamic complex on November 30 at 4.00pm in Saratov.
Only 5 competitors of each category will receive the chance to participate in the final round, which will take place on December 1.
It is also scheduled the cultural program during the competition.
