The 8th edition of the Islamic Culture Festival began in Paris, France, on Saturday, September 14.
The Islamic Culture Institute of France has organized the festival, the mairie18.paris website reported.
Senegal is attending this year’s event as a guest, showcasing works related to the Islamic culture and civilization in the country.
As well as cultural and religious programs related to Islam in France, the festival features the Islamic culture and civilization in Senegal.
In this African country, Muslims from different schools of thought live together peacefully and the photos exhibited during the festival show this harmony and variety.
The cultural festival also includes screening documentaries about Muslims’ living in Senegal and their religious and cultural customs.
Islam is the predominant religion in Senegal where around 89 percent of the country’s population is Muslim.
