Educational Seminar for Quran Memorizers, Teachers Concludes in Sarajevo

An educational seminar held for Quran memorizers and teachers in Bosnia and Herzegovina concluded on Sunday, September 15.
According to the daily Al-Yawm Al-Sabi, the Quranic education event was underway in the capital, Sarajevo, for four days.
It was organized by the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) with the participation of 65 Quran memorizers, instructors and mangers of Quran institutes from Bosnia and Herzegovina and other Balkan countries.
The program was aimed at enhancing the Quranic knowledge of the participants, developing Quran teaching methods, developing Quran education institutes, and using the latest technologies to foster Quranic education.
Those taking part in the event also discussed ways for developing relations among Quran memorizers, exchanging experiences, supporting Quran activists and boosting their role in society.
Yusuf Abudaq, ISESCO’s education department expert, represented the organization in the four-day seminar in Sarajevo.
The seminar was held based on a joint plan by the ISESCO and the Makkah-based World Quran Memorization Society.
The purpose of the joint plan is to pave the way for the development of Quranic institutes in the Muslim world.
