It is important that the Qaris and memorizers selected to join the country’s Quranic convoy should be familiar with Quran interpretation.
Iranian Quran master Mehdi Seif made the remark in an interview with IQNA, adding that the Qaris and memorizers going to Hajj should have some knowledge of the meaning and interpretation of the verses.
He noted that the opponents of Iran and Shiism accuse us of distorting the Quran or having a different Quran and that the Quranic convoy of the Islamic Republic of Iran can disprove such accusations.
Seif stressed that the Holy Quran is the best source for reasoning and proving the truthfulness of the Islamic Establishment.
Asked whether women Quran reciters and memorizer should also be part of the convoy, he said it would be a good idea.
Every year, the Noor Convoy, made up of Iranian Quran reciters, memorizers, and Tawasheeh (religious songs) groups, is sent to Hajj to perform Quranic programs during the Hajj.
