Mawlawi Shazadeh Shahed, spokesman of Afghanistan’s Supreme Council of Peace made the announcement, adding that the day-long conference will be held on Tuesday, September 24.
He said the participants will discuss ways for resolving the current issues and problems in the Muslim world, the Sedaye Afghan news agency reported.
Shahed pointed to the violence, conflicts and insecurities in the Muslim world, underlining that Muslim scholars ought to take steps to resolve these issues.
The conference will be attended by scholars and thinkers from different countries including the Islamic Republic of Iran.
