A Quranic delegation from the Dar-ol-Quran Center of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine were present in the closing ceremony, the center’s website reported.
Hajj Adel Karbalayi, a member of the delegation, said they went to Lebanon with the aim of supporting Quranic activities in the country and encouraging Quran memorization.
He said that during the closing ceremony, which was held at Al-Sakasiya town, the top participants in the Quranic course were honored and received awards.
The awards, which was provided by the Astan (custodianship) of the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS), included pilgrimage trips to the holy sites in Iraq, he stated.
Karbalayi added that the Iraqi delegation also held meetings with Quranic officials in the region to discuss ways for improving Quran recitation and memorization courses.
Two years ago, the Dar-ol-Quran Center of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine signed an agreement with the Quranic Society of Jabal Amil to expand cooperation between Iraq and Lebanon in Quranic fields.
