MP Urges for Establishment of Quran & Etrat Deputy

Head of the Majlis’ Quran, Etrat and Prayers Fraction urged for establishment of a Quran and Etrat deputy in the presidential office.
Speaking at the open session of the Majlis on Sunday, October 6, Laleh Eftekhari underlined the need for the country’s officials to pay more attention to Quranic and religious issues.
She also called on the president to pave the ground for implementation of strategies for development of the Quranic culture in society.
Elsewhere in her remarks, Dr Eftekhari stressed the importance of Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in society and lauded the president for issuing a special order for implementation of this religious obligation.
She further pointed to the beginning of the month of Dhul-Hajja, the month of Hajj, and hoped that Muslims from around the world who go to Makkah for the annual Hajj pilgrimage will use the opportunity to raise awareness about Islam’s enemies and for defending the oppressed.
