Hajj, Opportunity for Foiling Plots of Muslim World Enemies
Majlis Vice-Speaker Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Mohammad Hassan Abutorabifard described Hajj as an opportunity to foil the plots hatched by Islam’s enemies.
Addressing the open session of the Majlis on Tuesday, October 8, he hoped that this year’s Hajj will pave the way for thwarting enemy conspiracies in countries like Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
He said the occasion of Hajj, as an act of worship and a political, social and economic event, should be used to enhance the Islamic Ummah’s power and dignity.
Hojat-ol-Islam Abutorabifard also hoped that Hajj pilgrims will attain the highest levels of spiritual life during Hajj and that Muslims will reach the highest levels of unity and solidarity.
He urged the Muslim Ummah, especially Iranian Hajjis to follow the teachings of the Quran and use all their capacities to strengthen Islamic unity and prevent those who seek sedition and discord from advancing their agenda.
The cleric noted that obviously the world arrogance and the US in particular are behind the moves to spread disunity in the Muslim Ummah.
He further underlined the need for knowing the enemy and uniting and closing ranks against the enemy conspiracies and plots.
Hajj is the largest annual pilgrimage in the world. It is obligatory for this pilgrimage to be carried out by every able bodied Muslim at least once in their lifetime if they can afford to do so.
