Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad underlined the need for intellectual resistance against foreign ploys targeting the Arab and Muslim world.
Speaking in a meeting with a delegation from the ‘Arab and Muslim Assembly in Support of the Option of Resistance’, Assad added that Syria has foiled all the attempts to target Syria’s pivotal role in the resistance.
“It is time that Arab and Muslim nations acted upon their responsibilities in support of Syria’s resistance against plots whose objective is dealing a blow to Syria’s leading role in the resistance,” he said.
The Syrian president highlighted the important role of the elites to promote the idea of resistance among people, especially the youth, in the Muslim world.
The delegation from the ‘Arab and Muslim Assembly in Support of the Option of Resistance’ is in Syria to discuss the outcomes of a conference the assembly organized in Beirut.
Participants in the conference of “Supporting Syria’s Resistance against the Attack by Zionists, Americans, Reactionary Arab Countries, and Terrorism” rejected any foreign intervention in Syria.
