Promoting Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) Seerah Will Disgrace Salafist Ideology
Respecting sanctities and promoting the Seerah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) will expose the true nature of Salafism.
Tehran’s interim Friday prayers leader Ayatollah Mohammad Emami-Kashani made the remark on October 19 while delivering his Friday prayers sermon at the University of Tehran’s campus.
He added that Salafists claim to be following the path of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) but they commit crimes against the Islamic Ummah that were not seen even during the Middle Ages.
Ayatollah Emami-Kashani explained about the history of Salafism and said Salafists, who first emerged in Saudi Arabia, stated to Takfir (consider one’s fellow Muslims as infidels) Shias and other Muslims.
He underlined that those claiming to be followers of the path of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) must act according to the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Tehran’s interim Friday prayers leader also stressed the importance of Muslim unity and referring to the Fatwa (religious edict) issued by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution banning any insult to the Sahaba (companions of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), said in order to uphold unity in any era there is need for Velayat (leadership of the Imam or supreme jusrit).
He noted that the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khamenei has considered respecting the sanctities as obligatory and that the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran Imam Khomeini (RA) had the same idea.
Elsewhere in his sermon, Ayatollah Emami-Kashani referred to the new round of talks between Iran and the G5+1 (5 permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany) and said the United States has baselessly accused Iran (of pursuing nuclear weapons).
The US has announced the security of Israel to be important for Washington, the senior cleric said, adding that they (the US) should know that Iran is not endangering security but the Zionist regime is.
