Spring of Risala Festival Planned in Karbala
The 8th edition of the Spring of Risala (prophethood) Festival is planned to be held in the holy city of Karbala in January 2014.
The Astans (custodianships) of the holy shrines of Imam Hussein (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS) will organize the event, Buratha news agency reported.
It is slated to be start on January 17, 2014, with the motto of “Great Prophet (PBUH), A Gifted Blessing and Path of Salvation”.
A number of university scholars and thinkers from Iraq and other countries will take part in the three-day event.
The Spring of Risala Festival is held on the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversaries of Propeht Muhammad (PBUH) and Imam Sadeq (AS).
It will include sideline programs such as Quran recitation programs, poetry recitation sessions, and Islamic arts festival.
