28th Nat'l Student Quran Festival Kicks off

Cultural deputy of Islamic Azad University’s branch in Arak said that the 28th edition of national Quran festival for university students of the country has started in Arak.
Rahim Beiraghi, told IQNA that the written section of this edition of the festival began today, October 21, for two groups of male and female participants.
315 top Quran activists from various universities all over the country have participated at the festival, he added.
Beiraghi said that the festival has been organized with the aim of disseminating culture of the Quran and promoting realization of Quranic teachings in the society.
Promoting morality, faith and religious awareness of the students, developing spiritual and Quranic atmosphere of the universities and strengthening the role of students as Quranic models at the universities are among the objectives of the festival.
Studies of Quran, Quranic concepts, thematic translation of the Quran and Etrat, Hadith studies and supplications are various categories of the festival.
The deputy noted that besides the written section, the participants should compete in the oral section which includes reading the Holy Quran’s verses.
