“Qadir” Int’l Congress to Be Held with Scientific Approach
The most significant feature of “Qadir” International Congress, to be held on October 23 and 24, is its scientific aspect.
Speaking at the press conference of the program, Gholam Hussein Khedri, head of the Institute of Humanities and Cultural Studies said that Qadir is an important event in the history of Islam which should be studied from a scientific point of view.
He added that the congress aims to investigate theological, narrative, exegetical and ethical discussions, etc. about the event which have not been scientifically and seriously studied so far.
Shahram Yusefifar, the vice president of the congress said that the Supreme Leader named the year 1379 (2000), the year of Imam Ali (AS) when the institute organized the international congress of Imam Ali (AS) on unity, justice and security.
Imam Ali (AS) Research Center established a year later with the aim of clarifying theoretical and practical Seerah of the Imam (AS) in social arena, he added.
Yusefifar said that the congress will focus on three main themes including Qadir and Islamic Ummah, teachings of Qadir, and historical investigations of Qadir event.
Fakhreddin Moayyedi, scientific deputy of the congress, also said that 26 scholars and intellectuals from different countries will participate at the program which will be addressed by 9 speakers.
He added that 41 papers have been sent to the foreign section of the congress, 24 of which have been accepted and 14 abstracts have been prepared in English, Arabic and Persian languages.
382 papers by Iranian scholars have been received by the secretary of the congress, from among which 302 ones have been accepted and 110 abstracts will be published.
