Kuwaiti political activist Hamoud Mubarak Al-Azemi condemned the recent act of burning a copy of the Holy Quran in the country’s Salimiya region.
He denounced the act of desecration and called on Kuwait’s Interior Ministry to bring the perpetrators to justice, Al-Aan daily reported.
Al-Azemi said this cowardly act was carried out by ignorant individuals whose objective is provoking Fitna (sedition) in Kuwait.
He said the perpetrators have ignored the fact that the Holy Quran is the Book of God.
The political activist urged the country’s parliament and government to pass clear laws for punishing those who desecrate Islamic values.
