Some 650 Quranic Programs Held by Iran’s Noor Convoy in Hajj

Members of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Noor (light) Quranic Convoy performed 649 Quranic programs in Hajj.
Head of the convoy Behzad Ahmadi made the remark in an interview with IQNA, adding that the Qaris, memorizers and Tawasheeh group of the convoy held the programs in the holy cities of Makkah and Medina.
He said the programs included Quran recitation sessions, Juz (part of the Quran) recitations, and TAwasheeh (religious songs) performances, which were received very well by Hajj pilgrims from different countries.
He noted that several times, during these programs Qaris and Quran activists from other countries joined the Iranian Quranic convoy.
“For instance, in this year’s Hajj, eminent Iraqi Quran reciter Meytham Tammar joined the Iranian Qaris at Masjid Al-Haram and recited verses from the Holy Quran.
Ahmadi added that the 649 programs of the Iranian Quranic convoy were held either by a group of Qaris and other members of the convoy or individually.
He said the programs included 303 Tahghigh recitations, 78 Tarteel recitations, 60 Adhan recitations, and 119 Tawasheeh performances.
Every year, selected Quran reciters, memorizers and Tawasheeh singers from Iran are sent to Hajj to perform Quranic programs in the holy cities of Makkah and Medina.
