Speaking to IQNA, Nabil Yaqubi said the media is a weapon in confronting the plots hatched by Takfiri groups, a weapon that will play a significant role in disclosing the deviation of the Takfiris and their terrorist activities.
He underlined that Takfiris’ actions run counter to the teachings of Islam and are against everything that God and the Holy Prophet (PBUH) have invited to.
Yaqubi said Takfiris highlight insignificant differences among Muslims to foment clashes and discord in the name of Islam, whereas this is not the true Islam and runs against human values. “Not only Muslims. But all humans are opposed to such actions (committed by Takfiris).”
He criticized the United States’ support for Takfiris, saying that Washington seeks to spread division among Muslims to easily plunder the wealth and oil resources of the Muslim Ummah.
“The US either plunders Muslim countries directly or employs mercenaries and equip them to help it by carrying out terrorist blasts and destroy Muslim unity.”
The Iraqi scholar and researcher regretted that Takfiri actions tarnishes the image of Islam and Muslims in the world while Islam is a religion of peace, friendship and tolerance and totally opposes such actions.
He said that all Muslims, whether Shia or Sunni, must spread the true Muhammadan Islam in society and tell everyone that what Takfiris do is against the teachings of Islam.
“Sources of emulation and Muftis, on the other hand, should issue Fatwas clearly announcing that Takfiris have quit Islam and are Kafirs.”
He also urged Muslims to unite and confront this group of enemies of Islam (the Takfiris).
Asked about the effectiveness of seminars and conferences in disclosing the crimes committed by Takfiris, Yaqubi hailed such efforts and said these activities and media efforts could expose Takfiris’ acts of terrorism and crimes.
He went on to say that the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khamenei has emphasized the important role of the media in confronting enemy conspiracies and that Muslims must stand up against the media and cultural onslaughts of the enemies.
Nabil Yaqubi wa sin Tehran last week to present a paper at the International Qadir Congress, held on Wednesday-Thursday, October 23-24.
