2nd Stage of Quran Memorizers Training Plan This Year
The second stage of the Quran Memorizers Training Plan will be held this year.
Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Mohammad Kazem Mousavi who heads the Awqaf and Charity Organization’s committee for implementing the plan said so far 254000 individuals have so far registered to take part in the plan.
He said that last year 233600 individuals attended the plan’s courses and later took oral and written examinations to test their progress in learning the Holy Quran by heart.
According to Mousavi, the number of participants this year has risen 17 percent compared to the previous year.
He noted that registration still continues in different provinces and that every day between 2000 to 2500 individuals sign up to take part in the memorization courses.
He hoped that the number will grow to 320000 individuals next year so that in four years there will be 1 million memorizers of the Quran trained by the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization.
