Sibt-ul-Nabi Int’l Congress Planned
On the occasion of martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hassan (AS), Sibt-ul-Nabi International Congress will be held by Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) World Assembly in Tehran.
Talking to IQNA, Abbas Ja’fari, scientific secretary of the congress said that the international program will be held in late Safar month.
He said that five meetings have been held so far on the organization of the congress by the executive groups of the program and invitations have been sent for various scholars, intellectuals and poets.
About 30 scientific and political figures from different countries have been invited and some of the scholars from Argentina, Australia, Uganda, Bangladesh, Egypt and Lebanon have announced their readiness to present papers at the program.
Dissemination of Seerah and teachings of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) in the world, providing an opportunity for promotion of religious identity based on Ahl-ul-Bayt’s (AS) viewpoint and clarification and introduction of Imam Hassan’s (AS) character as well as the theory of peace and crisis management in the Imam’s thought are the main objectives of the congress.
“Principles of the nature of Seerah and thought of Imam Hassan (AS)”, “individual and social life of Imam Hassan (AS)”, “religious, cultural, social and political condition of the time of Imam Hassan (AS)”, “issues about Hassani Sayyeds” and “objectives of Imam Hassan’s (AS) Seerah” will be some of the themes of the congress.
The participants will also discuss theories adopted from the Seerah of the Imam (AS) including the theory of peace and power in the Seerah and thought of Imam Hassan (AS), comparative study of Imamate and Caliphate, peace of Imam Hassan (AS) and Peace of Hudaybiyyah and the time of Imam Hassan (AS) and Imam Hussein (AS).
The International Summit Conference Hall in Tehran will host the international congress on January 6 and 7, 2014.
