TEHRAN (IQNA) - The Iranian Cultural Center in Bosnia and Herzegovina plans to organize a regional conference titled “World without Violence and Extremism”.

According to the public relations office of the Islamic Culture and Relation Organization, it will be held in cooperation with the Ibn Sina Institute, Human Rights Center of Sarajevo University, the city’s municipality and the 99 Intellectuals Group.
Slated for December 10, the conference will bring together scholars and researchers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia.
Dimensions and consequences of violence and extremism in international system, theoretical bases of extremism and violence, and strategies for combating extremism and violence are some of the themes to be discussed at the conference.
It is held in line with the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s proposal for a World Against Violence and Extremism (WAVE).
In December 2013, the UN General Assembly voted by consensus to approve the WAVE Act, which calls on all nations across the globe to denounce violence and extremism.
