Syria to Continue Supporting Palestine Despite All Challenges

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad underlined that his country will continue to back the Palestinian nation despite all the challenges.

Speaking in a meeting in Damascus with members of the Union of Palestinians in Europe, Assad also stressed the pivotal role of Syria in supporting the cause of Palestine.
He further warned against the dangers of the West’s policies for the region and said the events happening in Arab countries of the region harm Palestine.
Syria is one of the main countries of the axis of resistance. It has been gripped by deadly violence since March 2011.
Nearly 200,000 people have been killed in Syria and millions displaced due to the violence fueled by terrorist militants backed by the West and its allies.
