According to stockholm.icro, the course is held in cooperation with the Iranian Cultural Center in Stockholm.
David Thurfjell, associate professor of religious studies, teaches the course focusing on historical, social and ideological aspects of the Shia school of thought.
He said that the educational program aims to provide an opportunity for those interested in Islamic and Shia studies to discuss their viewpoints and exchange ideas.

The first session of the course was held at the university on November 27.
Letters No. 47 and 53 in Nahj-ul-Balaqa of Imam Ali (AS), which are respectively the Imam’s letter to his sons, Imam Hassan (AS) and Imam Hussein (AS), and his letter to Malik Ashtar, his companion, were discussed at the session.
