Winners of Qatar Nat’l Quran Contest to Be Honored

TEHRAN (IQNA) - Top participants at the 21st edition of Qatar national Quran contest will be honored on December 15.

 According to Al-‘Arab newspaper, the top Quran memorizers of the country will be awarded at the closing ceremony of the contest at Al-Ritz Carlton Hotel in Doha, the capital city.

The ceremony will be attended by a number of Qatari officials, scholars, Quran activists and religious and cultural figures.
Sheikh Ahmad ‘Isaa Al-Ma’sarawi, prominent Egyptian Quran reciter, presided over the judging board of the contest.
Quran scholars Sheikh Abdul Rashid Ali Sufi, Sheikh Abdul Salam Muqbil Al-Majidi and Sheikh Ahmad bin Ali Al-Seddis supervised this edition of the Quranic event in Qatar.
The Center for Islamic Dissemination and Sciences affiliated to Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Ministry’s Office for Religious Dissemination and Guidance hosted the national contest from November 22 to December 1.
Memorization of the entire Quran with Tarteel and Tajweed and memorization of 25, 20, 15, 10 and 5 Juzes (parts) of the Holy Quran were the categories of the contest.
