Also addressing the forum was Mawlana Daryabadi who noted that Imam Khomeini’s (RA) initiative to call the period from the 12th to 17th of Rabi’ al-Awwal “The Islamic Unity Week” was the best move to promote unity and friendship among Muslims.

Mawlana Zahir Abbas, another speaker, referred to the time of ignorance before the advent of Islam and said the Holy Prophet (PBUH) played an important role in that society to establish constructive traditions.

He considered the month of Rabi’ al-Awwal and the auspicious occasion of the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) birth anniversary as a good opportunity for Muslims to strengthen their unity and improve their lifestyle according to the Nabawi Seerah.

Stressing that the rules and principles of Islam guarantee peace, stability, security and development in the world, he condemned terrorist activities and violations of human rights.

Also speaking at the forum, was Mawlana Abdul Jabbar Ghaderi, who said that the influential method of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in dissemination of Islam was a great achievement at that time.

He added that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) established the first civil rules and regulations in the Islamic society and ordered that Muslims, Christians and Jews in the city of Medina should become united to be able to stand against their enemies.

Mahdi Hasankhani, in charge of the Iranian Cultural Office in Mumbai, also addressed the program, saying that unawareness about the noble teachings of Islam is the main cause of violence and crimes committed in the name of Islam.
