Abbasi, Ayazi to Represent Iran in Kuwait’s Int’l Quran Contest

TEHRAN (IQNA) - Kuwait’s 6th International Holy Quran Competition is scheduled to be held in the Persian Gulf country on March 30-31.

The competition is annually organized in different categories by the country’s Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Ministry.
The Islamic Republic of Iran will have two representatives in this year’s edition of Kuwait’s international Quranic event.
Hamid Reza Abbasi will compete in the category of recitation while Peyman Ayazi will take part in the category of memorization of the entire Quran. 
Born in 1976 in the city of Zanjan, west of Tehran, Abbasi attended in Malaysia’s International Quran Competition in 2011 and came 4th.
Ayazi, 24, has taken part in several international Quranic events so far, including those in Russia and Algeria.
