Ras Al-Khaimah Holy Quran Award Underway in UAE
According to WAM news agency, the competition began on January 13 under the supervision and patronage of Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al-Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al-Khaimah.
The large number of participants in the competition, 619 men and 581 women, shows that this edition of the Quranic event has been warmly welcomed in the region.
Organizers of the competition also held a meeting on the sidelines of the program in order to supervise and improve the jury panel’s evaluations.
The participants in the meeting also investigated activities and programs of the competition’s committees, including the news and information committee, VIP and public relations committee.
Memorization of the entire Quran and 20 Juzes (parts) of the Holy Quran are the categories of the preliminary stage of the competition.
The following stages of the competition will be held at Ras Al-Khaimah’s new school.
