TEHRAN (IQNA) - A Quran memorization camp for visually impaired girls and boys in the Gaza Strip was opened by Palestine’s Dar-ol-Quran Al-Karim and Sunnah Center on January 20.

According to Safa news agency, so far three Quranic sessions have been held at the camp, titled “Towards the Light 3”.

40 girls and boys from Gaza are attending the sessions to review the Juzes (parts) of the Holy Quran they had memorized in previous years.

Mahmoud Khas, Director General of the Center, said that in such activities special attention is paid to the visually impaired and provide them with welfare facilities.

In a visit to the camp, he evaluated the students’ progress in Quran memorization and stressed that the winter vacation is a valuable opportunity for memorizing the entire Quran.
