Followers of Monotheistic Faiths in Lisbon Pray for Peace

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Muslims, Christians and Jews gathered in the grand mosque in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon to pray for peace.

The joint move was aimed at promoting the peaceful message of religion and demonstrating the solidarity among followers of different faiths.
Speaking at the gathering, leader of the Jewish community in Lisbon said the common grounds among the three faiths are much more than what separates them, Atlas.info website reported.
According to a catholic priest attending the event, praying for peace is rooted in the identity of the three religions.
Similar gatherings are planned to be held in two churches in the capital of Portuguese.
