Quran Activists Discuss Organization of Morocco National Quran Competition
According to nadorcity website, the meeting was held by the Holy Quran Scientific Council in Nador, a city in north-eastern region of Morocco.
A number of Qaris, Quran memorizers, religious scholars and those interested in Quranic sciences were also present at the program.
The participants investigated the organization of national competition on Quran memorization, recitation, Tarteel and Tajweed principles.
The national competition is organized by the Moroccan Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in Rabat during the holy month of Ramadan every year.
Addressing the meeting, head of the council highlighted the long history of the Quranic competitions in this country.
He said that the competition is an important source of motivation for memorizing the Holy Quran and disseminating the Quranic culture in the society.
It is held for male and female Quran memorizers and reciters of all age groups, he added.
