TEHRAN (IQNA) – Head of Afghanistan’s Supreme Quran Council underlined that the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini (RA), revived the Quranic culture.

Hojat-ol-Islam Abbas Hassanzadeh made the remark in a ceremony held at Imam Sajjad (AS) Mosque in Kabul to mark the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
He added that Imam Khomeini’s movement was based on Divine teachings and that he never was afraid of the global arrogance.
Hojat-ol-Islam Abbaszadeh further said Imam Khomeini belonged to the entire Muslim world.
“Imam Khomeini invited all Muslims to unity and solidarity because he knew that the enemies and the world arrogance benefit from Muslim disunity,” he stated.
The Iranian nation toppled the US-backed Pahlavi regime 36 years ago, ending the 2,500 years of monarchic rule in the country.
The Islamic Revolution of Iran spearheaded by the late Imam Khomeini (RA) established a new political system based on Islamic values and democracy.
