Egypt’s 22nd Int’l Quran Competition Slated for April

TEHRAN (IQNA) - The 22nd edition of the international Quran competition in Egypt will take place from April 18 to 23.

According to Al-Youm Al-Sabi’, it will be organized by the country's Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.

The ministry has announced that the competition will be held under the patronage of Egyptian President Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi.

The Nasr District of Cairo, Egypt’s capital city, hosted the 21st edition of the competition in April 2014.

71 Quran reciters and memorizers from 46 Arab and Islamic countries participated in the Quranic event last year.
