TEHRAN (IQNA) – Head of Iran’s Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization said one of the organization’s plans against desecration of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is publishing and distributing translations of the Quran in different languages.

Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Mohammadi told IQNA that efforts are also underway to translate Quran interpretations though it is a rather more difficult task.

He said promoting the teachings of the Quran and Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) among people in their own language is the best way for talking insults to Islamic sanctities.

Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammadi condemned the desecration of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and said it is unacceptable and runs counter to human conscience and logic.

“One who has logic does not insult the prophets and divine religions but speaks with logic and reason,” he stated.

The French magazine Charlie Hebdo in January once again published a cartoon depicting Islam’s Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on the cover of its new edition amid warnings that the move is provocative as Muslims consider depicting the Prophet as blasphemous.

It drew widespread condemnation and protests all over the world.
