Iran to Join Jury of Int’l Quran Competition in Tunisia

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iranian Quran experts will be in the jury panel of the country’s international competition on Quran memorization and recitation.


According to IQNA’s branch in Africa, this was announced in a meeting of Mostafa Borujerdi, Iranian ambassador to Tunisia with Othman Batikh, the Tunisian minister of religious affairs.

The meeting was also attended by Ramezani, Iranian cultural attaché in Tunisia.

Speaking at the meeting, the Iranian ambassador expressed hope that cooperation between the two countries will develop.



He also noted that Iran is ready to exchange experiences with Tunisia in Hajj affairs.

The Iranian cultural attaché at the meeting said that Iran's Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization is ready to send Quran experts to join the judging board of the international Quran competition planned to be held on May 2 to 6 in Tunisia.



The Tunisian ministerhailed the idea of Iran's particpation in the international Quranic event.
