Qatar-based Eid Charity Institute has launched the center in Africa’s most populous country, Al-Sharq daily reported.
It includes a mosque and classes to hold courses on Quranic and Islamic sciences.
The center’s mosque can accommodate 150 worshippers and will host congregational prayers.
It will also host religious speeches and Quran memorization courses.
An official with Eid Institute said the center aims to promote Islam’s moderation in the region and encourage the youth to develop deeper connection with the Quran and promote Islamic teachings among them.
Oyo State is an inland state in south-western Nigeria, with its capital at Ibadan.
