Women’s Quran Competition to Conclude in UAE
According to Al-Bayan website, the preliminary stage of the national Quran memorization competition is underway in different provinces of the country.
Female students of different schools and Quran memorization centers of the country have participated in the competition.
The Quranic event has been organized by Sultan bin Khalifa Scientific Institute in cooperation with the country’s General Office of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.
The preliminary stage of the competition will continue until April 14 in Abu Dhabi, Al-Ain, ‘Ajman and Fujairah.
Different age groups of participants compete in 8 categories including memorization of one Juz (part) with observation of Tajweed principles and memorization of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 15 and 30 Juzes of the Holy Quran.
The main objective of the competition is to encourage the youth of the country to memorize the Holy Quran’s verses and develop their Quranic talents.
