Winners of Egypt’s 22nd Int’l Quran Competition Announced

TEHRAN (IQNA) - Top participants of the 22nd edition of international Quran competition in Egypt were awarded in a ceremony on April 23.


According to almasryalyoum website, the closing ceremony of the competition was held on April 23 in Cairo.





Winners in the categories of the memorization of the entire Quran along with Tarteel and observation of Tajweed principles, causes of the revelation of the Quran, and moral teachings of the Divine Book were honored at the event.





Muhammad Ramadan Kamal from Egypt, Muhammad Al-Atrash from Morocco, Na’eem Mahir Balut from Lebanon, Tariq Sha’ban Ahmad from Egypt, Faisal Muhammad from Nigeria, Heitham Saqar Ahmad from Kenya, Hamza bin Juda from Algeria, Izzatullah Abdul Wahid from Afghanistan, Ayyub bin Rafiq from Tunisia and Davoud Kazimbi from Malawi were the first to the tenth rank winners respectively.





Fatemeh Abdul Hakim from Egypt and Abdullah Yusuf Isma’il from Kenya succeeded to win the first and the second ranks in the category of memorization of the entire Quran along with Tarteel and Tajweed and interpretation of the 30th Juz (part) of the Quran.





The first winner of the memorization of 20 Juzes with Tarteel and Tajweed was Muhammad Nahyan Kawthar from Niger.





Muhammad Muhibullah from Bangladesh won the first rank in the category of memorization of 8 Juzes of the Quran (from the 23rd to the 30th Juz).





The 22nd edition of the international Quran competition in Egypt was held from April 18 to 23.





It is organized every year by the country's Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.





More than 100 representatives from 70 countries participated in this edition of the competition.





The winners will be awarded in a ceremony to be held with the presence of Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi, president of Egypt, in the holy month of Ramadan.
