Karbala to Host Imam Ali (AS) Int’l Festival
TEHRAN (IQNA) - The first edition of an international cultural-literary festival titled “Imam Ali (AS), Founder of the Science of Syntax” will be held in the holy city of Karbala.
According to the website of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine, the festival has been planned by the Astan to be held on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Imam Ali (AS).
The Arabic Language Center affiliated to the Astan will organize the scholarly event.
The Khatam-ul-Anbia Courtyard of the holy shrine will host the festival on May 2.
The organizing committee of the program has sent invitation letters to eminent figures in Iraq and other countries.
Intellectuals and researchers from Iran, Syria and Egypt are expected to participate in the festival.
