According to the website of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Khalid bin Muhammad and Ali bin Salihah succeeded to win the first ranks respectively in the categories of memorization and recitation in Tunisia.
The two Quran activists and Saleem bin Sheikh, advisor to Tunisia’s Minister of Religious Affairs will be the members of the Tunisian delegation to be dispatched to Iran.
The 14th edition of Tunisia’s international Quran competition organized from May 1 to 7 at Al-Zaytuna Mosque.
Quran memorizers and reciters from 23 countries including Iran, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Mauritania, Libya, Egypt, Sudan, Jordan, Palestine, Turkey, Mali, Senegal, Oman, The UAE, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Indonesia and Russia competed at the event.
Mohammad Hajabolqassem, an internationally known Iranian Quran master was a member of the competition’s jury panel.
Iran’s 32nd international Quran competition will be held from May 15 to 23 in Tehran, the capital.
