According to Qaf news agency, the school was launched in a ceremony attended by a number of Iraqi Quranic figures, scholars and directors of Quran institutes.
The program was addressed by Ra’id Al-Ma’mouri, manager of the new school and included with Quran recitations by Rafi’ Al-‘Ameri and Meytham Al-Tammar, eminent Iraqi Quran reciters.
A documentary on the construction project of the school was also screened for those attending the ceremony.
The school is named after Malik al-Ashtar, who was one of the most loyal companions of Imam Ali (AS) and recognized for his pious and humble nature, as well as his fierce and steadfast defense for Islam.
