Iran to Send Qari to Malaysia Int’l Quran Recital Assembly
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Mohsen Hassani Kargar will represent the Islamic Republic of Iran at the 57th international Holy Quran competition of Malaysia.
Kargar, who is from the northeastern province of Khorasan Razavi, will compete for the country in the recitation category of Malaysia’s international Quranic event.
He came second in the 37th edition of Iran’s Awqaf national Quran contest.
Malaysia’s 57th international Quran recital assembly is slated to be held in the capital Kuala Lumpur on June 7-17.
Last year, Iran’s representative Hamed Valizadeh Khalkhali bagged the fifth prize in Malaysia’s Quran contest.
For the first time in the history of the competition, it also included a memorization category last year.
