TEHRAN (IQNA) - The Astan (custodianship) of Hazrat Abbas's (AS) holy shrine in Karbala established a Center for Quran Printing, Interpretation and Researches on Quranic Sciences.

According to Al-Kafeel website, Sheikh Ziya-uddin Al-Zubaidi, director of the center, said it was the first step towards opening more centers for Quranic affairs in the region.

He added that the Holy Quran and Etrat are the sources of guidance, mercy and glad tidings for the faithful.

“The Quran and Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) are the light that enlightens our wisdom and leads us to the right path,” he said.

Al-Zubaidi stated that the center was established following the request made by Seyyed Ahmad Safi, custodian of Hazrat Abbas's (AS) holy shrine.

He added that the center will begin its activities with the printing and publication of the Holy Quran.

The Astan of the holy shrine has a great potential in Quranic fields and the center will employ experts in these fields, he noted.

The center plans to publish a “Talking Book of Quran Interpretation” and “Interpretation of Quran by Ahlul-Bayt (AS)”.

The director said that Quranic seminars and forums are also among the programs slated to be held by the center.
