In their statement, the lawmakers thanked Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Mohammadi, head of the organization, and all of those who cooperated in holding the competition.
They also voiced readiness to pave the way for promotion of Quranic activities, ISNA reported.
The Islamic Republic of Iran’s 32nd International Quran Competition was held in Tehran on May 15-22.
120 Quran reciters and memorizers from 75 countries vied for the top prizes in the two categories of the contest, namely recitation and memorization of the entire Quran.
Iran’s representatives won the first titles in both categories of the international Quranic event.
