According to Al-Youm Al-Sabi’ newspaper, registration for the competition has been underway at the university since May 27.
Identifying top talents among the youth in Sowt and Ibtihal (religious singing) is the main objective of the competition.
The university has inivted the youth of the country, Al-Azhar’s Egyptian and foreign students and Quran memorizers and reciters under 40 to participate in the cultural and Quranic program.
The competition will be held from 10 a.m. local time until the Isha (late evening) prayer.
Winners of the contest will participate in the final stage of the program to be organized on the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.
Top participants will be awarded in the closing ceremony and represent the university in various Quranic sessions and religious programs on Egyptian TV and satellite channels.
