It was organized by the Al-Kheyr Charity Organization in cooperation with the Al-Fashir University and the World Association of Quran Memorization, hqmi website reported.
54 Quran memorizers took part in the Quranic event, which was held at three levels: memorization of the entire Quran, 20 Juzes (parts) of the Quran and 10 Juzes of the Quran.
Five Quran experts formed the panel of judges, which was chaired by al-Badri Omar Ishara.
The closing ceremony was attended by a number of officials, including Sudan’s Higher Education Minister and representatives of the World Association of Quran Memorization.
Addressing the ceremony, they praised the organizers for holding the Quran competition and serving the Noble Quran.
They also called for encouraging the youth to make more efforts to learn the Holy Book by heart.
