According to IQNA’s branch in Europe, the opening ceremony of the plan will be held on June 23.
This year's opening event, titled, "Youth Meet in Their Capital", aims to highlight the shared culture and heritage of the Muslim world.
The Quranic competition, a TV program named “Seeking for the Lost Science”, a competition on short films titled “Istanbul, the City of Civilization”, a photography competition dubbed “Istanbul in View of the Youth”, and an essay-writing competition titled “We and Istanbul” are among the programs planned for the international event.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has named Istanbul as the capital of Muslim youth for 2015, amid hopes of boosting cooperation between the 57 member states of the Muslim body.
