TEHRAN (IQNA) - Dutch anti-Islam politician Geert Wilders said Saturday that his anti-Islam cartoons that lampoon Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) will air on the Dutch TV this coming Wednesday. .

A video of the cartoon was supposed to be aired Saturday, but Wilders said that due to a misunderstanding it did not. "I have just spoken to NPO boss (Henk) Hagoort. It seems to have been a misunderstanding," Wilders tweeted after Dutch public broadcaster NPO aired a previous party-political broadcast in which the cartoons were not featured.

Initially, an angry Wilders tweeted that NPO was sabotaging the airing of his video, but then retracted that statement and confirmed that it was a misunderstanding. He later tweeted that the video would be aired twice, this Wednesday and on July 4. He also included a link to the Youtube link of the video.
He said that the airing of the video was in the name of his Freedom Party and in support of freedom of speech. However, the Muslim community in the Netherlands said that it was “ignoring” Wilders and his attempts to insult Islam.

"He is simply being ignored," Aissa Zanzen, spokesman of the Council of Moroccan Mosques in The Netherlands told the French news agency AFP.
Even if the footage had aired, "absolutely nothing would have happened," he added and said that the community was busy preparing for the holy month of Ramadan and they will be busy “making food.”
In fact, earlier this month when Wilders announced his intent to take the cartoon to the national broadcaster, the Council of Moroccan Mosques published its own cartoon mocking Wilders as a spoiled child with a big mouth, saying “fewer, fewer” in reference to his comments of reducing the number of Moroccans in the country.

The Dutch media authority allows political parties propaganda airtime, but said that they looked at the content only after it had been shown. If a judge rules that the content of the video constitutes hate speech, Wilders and his party would lose the right to airtime for up to four years.
A defiant Wilders has already been charged with hate speech when he said during political campaigns last year that he would arrange for there to be less Moroccans in the Netherlands.
