23rd Int’l Quran Exhibition Inaugurated

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 23rd edition of Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition was launched in a ceremony Wednesday night.

The ceremony was held at the Sacred Defense Garden Museum, the venue of the expo, with the participation of high-ranking officials including Culture Minister Ali Jannati and Tehran Mayor Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf.


Addressing the event, Jannati described the exhibition as an opportunity to foster the Quranic culture.

 


He added that it is a venue for showcasing Quranic activities, books, products and software as well as honoring Quran activists.


The Iranian official further described the Holy Quran as healing for psychological and physical ailments and guidance for all humanity.


He went on to say that the culture ministry has taken effective steps to promote the Quranic culture and attaches great importance to the teachings of the Holy Quran and Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS).


Also addressing the ceremony was culture ministry’s Quran and Etrat Deputy Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Reza Heshmati who said planning for the 23rd exhibition began about a year ago.


He said over 30 committees have been active in organizing the international exhibition.

 


He described the expo as unique in the Muslim world and the Middle East in terms of quality. 


Hojat-ol-Islam Heshmati also noted that a ceremony will be held at the exhibition to honor the country’s selected Quran activist.


He said the president is also scheduled to attend the ceremony.


Organized on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, the 23rd Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition will run for 20 days.


The Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition is annually mounted by the ministry of culture and Islamic guidance.


It is organized during the blessed month of Ramadan with the aim of stimulating development and promotion in concepts of the Noble Quran.


The expo showcases the latest developments and achievements in Quranic sciences, activities and products.
