Man Shot in Chest at Thai Mosque

TEHRAN (IQNA) - A committee member of a local mosque was shot and seriously wounded in Yala's Bannang Sata district, Thailand, while entering the mosque for prayers on Sunday night.

Pol Col Chatchai Chanasit, chief of Bannang Sata police, said  Masadi Lateh, 35, was opening the front door of the mosque in Burape village when he was shot.

He was admitted to Bannang Sata Hospital with a bullet wound to the chest.

The motive for the attack was still being established.
