Ramadan Quran Competition Begins in Mauritania

TEHRAN (IQNA) - A competition on the Holy Quran and religious sciences has been held from July 1 in Nouakchott, the capital city of Mauritania.


According to Al-Seraj website, the “Al-Jami’” Mosque of the city is hosting the Quranic event which began with the presence of Ahmad Walad Ahl Davoud, Minister of Islamic Affairs and Education of the country.



 



Muhammad Al-Amin Walad, director of Islamic Guidance Office in Mauritania, said that the competition has been organized by the office on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan and the office has made great efforts to hold it as glorious as possible.



 



The competition will continue for 10 days with 264 participants.



 



The Holy Quran, Nabawi Seerahs, Hadiths and Jurisprudence, and Arabic language are the categories of the competition.
