Moscow to Host Int’l Quran Festival

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Russia’s capital of Moscow will host an international festival of the Quran for the first time.

Planned on the occasion of the fasting holy month of Ramadan, it will start on July 11, the TASS news agency reported.


This was announced by the deputy chairman of the Council of Muftis of Russia Rushan Abbyasov.
The festival will take place at Moscow's Islamic Cultural Centre for seven days.


Religious scholars and translators, among whom are Muslims from Iran, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkey and India will deliver speeches at the event.
